Session 3: Adidas Midwest Circuit
Ohio Champion Basketball 2023 had a great weekend in Session 3 of The Midwest Circuit at Best Choice Fieldhouse in Indianapolis (Fishers), Indiana with wins over several highly-ranked opponents.
The weekend began with a buzzer-beating layup to defeat Gurus of Go (OH) 53-51. OCB overcame cold shooting and a five-point deficit with just over three minutes to play to earn the victory. Forward Jack Kronauge dribbled baseline-to-baseline to score the game-winning layup just before time expired.
In the second game of Session 3, OCB defeated Indiana Elite 2023 (58-38) behind hot three-point shooting from Brady Hardewig and Evan Ipsaro. Brady Hardewig led the charge with 19 points.
On Sunday, OCB played an intense full-court game and had a last-second defensive stand to defeat Flint Town Elite 2023 (MI), 55-53. OCB finished the weekend with a hot start and a win over Chicago Swish 64-52. OCB did withstand a second half surge by the Swish but held them off behind a very solid 19-point performance from Jack Kronauge.
OCB finished league-play in the highly-competitive Midwest Circuit with a record of 9-3 and earned the #3 seed in The Circuit Finals May 5-6 in Franklin, OH at Kingdom Sports Center. OCB faces the #14 seed Great Lake Warriorz in the first round.

"This weekend was a mixed bag for Ohio teams on the Midwest Circuit. Ohio Champion was the best of the five teams, going 4-0 with two very close wins over the Gurus and Flint Town Elite. Ohio Champion scored the game-winning basket against the Gurus, receiving the ball with 5.6 seconds on the clock and sinking a shot as time expired. A good win for them and a tough loss for the Gurus. Ohio Champion Basketball [2023] cemented themselves as a legitimate power on the local and national AAU scene.
