Mindset is the single most important factor in determining a player's level of success. Fortunately, an individual's mindset can be developed and improved as much as any other skill pertaining to the game of basketball. To achieve really high goals, you must first believe in yourself and your ability to achieve those goals. Those who are truly invested in our training program and work extremely hard will gain the confidence and self-belief necessary to conquer difficult challenges and achieve their goals.

Culture Is Important

Culture {noun}

  • The set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization. Merriam-Webster

Building a strong culture within our training program is important to us. We believe that identifying and expressing the principles of this culture will provide a the best possible experience for players who believe in us as much as we believe in them.

The way we carry ourselves and go about our business both in and out of the gym reflects the culture of our program. In order for our training to provide the maximum benefit possible, it is critical that we build strong relationships with our players. Trust is the foundation on which strong relationships are built, and our core values are tailored specifically toward building that trust.

Listed below are the core values we have identified for our training program.

Our Core Values:

  1. Character: do the right thing all the time.

  2. Competency: do our jobs extremely well every single day.

  3. Connection: genuinely care about our players' lives.

Unmatched Intensity

We love what we do, our passion is unique, and our formula for success is straightforward: nothing beats hard work. Our training is difficult. Our training is challenging. Our training is rewarding. But our training is not for everyone. We designed our program specifically for those players who want to be the best and are willing to work extremely hard to do so. Individual potential has no limits, and unrealistic goals do not exist. The higher you set your goals, the better. If you match our intensity day-in and day-out, you will reach them.

Our intensity is unmatched.

Comprehensive Approach

Champion Training

Fundamental Skills

Fundamental skills are the foundational blocks upon which a player's basketball ability is developed. While most coaches, parents, and players will often preach the importance of fundamentals, most people unintentionally undervalue the actual importance of fundamentals by not understanding the extent to which these fundamental skills can be developed in ALL players and the enormous impact trainers can have on players in doing so. Handling a basketball is infinitely more complex than just "dribbling," "shooters" are different than "scorers," and the “perfect shooting form” simply does not exist. Improving a player’s shooting mechanics is a delicate, singular, and player-specific process that must be accomplished cooperatively between a trainer and player through hard work, communication, and dedication.

Whether we’re training our NBA clients or our middle school players, we emphasize fundamental skill-development in all of our workouts for all of our athletes.

Ball-In-Hand Moves

It is extremely important for a player possessing the basketball to be able to win one-on-one matchups in all facets of the game. Whether a player is trying to create a great post-entry passing angle against a defender applying pressure on the perimeter by using pivots effectively, or a player using dribble moves to attack a defender and hit a game-winning shot as time expires, that player’s ability to execute certain movements while possessing the ball will play an dominant role in determining that player’s success. For this reason, we have included ball-in-hand one-on-one moves as an integral part of our comprehensive training approach. Our detailed breakdowns, extensive library of moves, and thorough understanding of one-on-one basketball within team concepts ensures that our players receive the highest-level moves instruction to take their games to the next level. Exposure is hugely important for high school and college players looking to play at the next level, and there is no better way to gain exposure than by winning one-on-one matchups on the offensive end and scoring more points.

Situational Intelligence

Situational intelligence is a player's ability to understand a situation on the court and make good decisions accordingly. Players with a high degree of situational intelligence are the ones who make the players around them better and have the greatest impact on the overall strength of their team. Coaches love players with situational intelligence because those players are often leaders or "glue" players on a team. For these reasons, situational intelligence is probably the single most important area of a player's game for gaining more playing time. Players with situational intelligence are capable of reading an opponent’s ball-screen coverage and making reactionary decisions. Players with situational intelligence are able to read off-ball screens as well and create scoring opportunities for themselves and their teammates. Players with situational intelligence recognize advantages/disadvantages, mismatches, and personnel-specific game characteristics. This is an infinitely wide-ranging concept that the greatest players in the world improve at every single day through training and film sessions. If you are a highly-skilled and effective one-on-one player but are not performing as well as you would like, situational intelligence may be an area of improvement that can take your game to the next level.

Mindset Training

Mindset is the single most important factor in determining a player's level of success. Fortunately, an individual's mindset can be developed and improved as much as any other skill pertaining to the game of basketball. To achieve really lofty goals in a particular area of your life, you have to love what you’re doing. Someone who has a goal of playing in the NBA but doesn’t really like basketball probably won’t be successful in that endeavor. Players must also work extremely hard to achieve their goals. Sometimes younger players seem to be “born” with that extra gear, while their peers do not have that same intensity. Too often, players are told when they are young that they are “lazy,” “soft,” or “undiscplined,” when in reality they simply haven’t matured as quickly in that area as one of their teammates. Regardless of age though, we believe work ethic can be learned and trained under circumstances where a player enjoys what they are doing. The love for the game must be there! Finally, must first believe in yourself and your ability to achieve those goals. If you love what you do and you work really hard, your confidence and belief in yourself and your belief in your ability to accomplish your goals will inevitably grow to the degree that you love the game and work hard at your craft. Those who are truly invested in our training program and work extremely hard will gain the confidence and self-belief necessary to conquer difficult challenges and achieve their goals.

Competitive Excellence

Competitive excellence is a player's propensity toward winning. As the saying goes, "winners win, and losers lose." Fundamental skills training, mindset training, situational intelligence, and one-on-one performance are all contributing factors toward a player's competitive excellence. It is not enough to just want to win badly. It is not enough to be highly skilled. It is not enough to understand the game inside and out. Players must be elite in all four of those areas in order to possess the greatest degree of competitive excellence. You have to want to win, period. Our comprehensive approach toward basketball training ensures that our players develop the highest degree of competitive excellence possible.
