Session 1: Adidas Midwest Circuit

Ohio Champion Basketball 2023 tipped off at the Adidas Midwest Circuit last weekend at Best Choice Fieldhouse in Fishers (Indianapolis), Indiana.  After losing key inside/outside big man Donovan Mukes to a broken thumb earlier in the week, OCB nonetheless posted a strong debut in Session 1 of the Midwest Circuit, finishing 3-1 the weekend.  

Day 1: In the first matchup of the weekend, OCB defeated Sky Digg Elite 68-52, pulling away in the second half after battling through a tough first half.  OCB then defeated Darius Miller Elite 75-57 in the second game of the weekend, again competing hard in the first half before pulling away in the second half for a convincing victory. 

Day 2: In an early 8:00am matchup Sunday morning to kick off day 2 of the Circuit's inaugural weekend, OCB beat Queen City Prophets (Cincinnati, Ohio) 54-53 with a last second defensive stand.  In the final matchup of the weekend against Team Manimal (Illinois), OCB suffered its first defeat of the season, falling 67-63 in OT.

OCB 2023 is off Easter weekend but will return to action in Session 2 of the Adidas Midwest Circuit April 7-8 in Toledo, OH.
